Origin Of The Curse

Collect Cursed Potions, choose a safe or higher-risk approach, and compete for personal and alliance rewards.

Visual quick guide

Origin of the Curse quick guide: 30-minute Contest; only Cursed Potions score; attacking is optional. Stay outside Cursed Land to shield and gather, leaving contested tiles to save troops. Inside Cursed Land earns 40 Potions per second, or 72,000 in an uninterrupted round, but carries attack risk even in an inner-area corner; do not rely on shields inside. Only first entry relocation is free. Reference gathering rates: Healing Kits 40/sec and 300 on completion; Ancient Beast Bones 80/sec and 1,500 on completion, then 30/sec per returned Bone; Runic Idols 160/sec and 6,000 on completion, then 120/sec per returned Idol. Gathering and completion rates vary by zone; returned bonuses stack. Fighting costs troops; protect returned resources, watch attacks, heal troops and keep an escape item. Participate together, coordinate a round and avoid switching alliances. Best round placement counts for final personal and alliance ranking rewards, not added scores. Rewards include event chests, personal ranking and alliance ranking. Check the live event for times, rounds and rewards.

What is Origin of the Curse?

  • Origin of the Curse is an individual and alliance-wide competitive event. Players travel to a designated Warzone, where an earthquake epicenter near a Royal City is surrounded by Cursed Land.
  • The goal is to collect as many Cursed Potions as possible during each 30-minute Contest round. Cursed Potions are the only source of Event Points: they contribute to your personal score and your alliance's score.
  • Earn Potions by gathering Healing Kits, Ancient Beast Bones and Runic Idols. Moving your sanctuary into the Cursed Land adds automatic production; attacking other players is another option, not a requirement.

Three ways to earn rewards

  • Event Chests — collect enough Cursed Potions to unlock reward chests.
  • Personal Rankings — compete against other players for individual ranking rewards.
  • Alliance Rankings — your alliance members' points contribute to its ranking and additional rewards.
  • Each Contest round has its own rankings. The schedule guide explains how your best round determines final ranking rewards. The table below lists the rewards; check the live event for current quantities, ranking tiers and chest thresholds.

Choose your approach

  • Safer gathering: keep your sanctuary outside Cursed Land, use your normal shield and gather special event resources. You can participate without attacking other players.
  • Higher-risk participation: relocate into Cursed Land for automatic Potion production, gather resources and defend your sanctuary from attacks. Read the map and combat guides before entering.

Tip: An available resource you can gather now may be more useful than spending several minutes chasing a contested Runic Idol.

Tips

  • Maximum participation will give the best results.
  • Engaging the enemy will cause us to lose troops.
  • A lower-level sanctuary should shield and gather in the outer area. Vacate your gathering tile if someone tries to take it. Save your troops.
  • Sitting in an outermost corner of the inner area can be a great strategy, as it will earn Potions passively.
