1. Preview — find out where to go
- When the event is active, Preview runs Tuesday through Friday. The game announces the first earthquake location and the competing Warzones before competition begins.
- Origin of the Curse does not open while Kingdom War is active.
- Some occurrences of the event have two Contest rounds. Check the live event schedule for your server's start times and current round count rather than assuming every occurrence has exactly two rounds.
2. Contest — earn Potions
- Each Contest lasts 30 minutes. An earthquake epicenter appears on the map, surrounded by Cursed Land.
- Gather special resources around the event area, or relocate into Cursed Land for additional Potions at greater risk. Every Cursed Potion earned during the round contributes to that round's rankings.
3. Preparation — get ready for the next round
- After a Contest ends, Preparation reveals the next earthquake location and competing Warzones. Check the new location rather than assuming the next round uses the same area.
- Contest and Preparation alternate until all scheduled rounds have finished.
4. Results — your best placement counts
- After the final Contest, the game calculates final personal and alliance rankings and distributes ranking rewards.
- Each round's ranking uses only the Cursed Potions earned in that round. Your best placement across all Contest rounds determines your final personal ranking rewards. The same best-placement rule applies to alliance ranking rewards; do not treat this as adding all rounds' scores together.
Tip: Keep participating: your next round could be your best.
Example — a better second round
If you place 80th in one round and 25th in another, your best placement is 25th. One poor round does not prevent you from improving your final result.
Avoid switching alliances during the event
- Switching alliances can mean your points do not count toward alliance competition. Stay with your alliance during the event rather than assuming earned points will transfer.
- Exact eligibility timing and point-transfer rules are not specified. Check the live event rules before changing alliances.
Coordinate a round with your alliance
- Agree on a round to play together so alliance members can coordinate gathering, defenses and optional attacks. Your alliance's best round placement determines its final ranking rewards, so concentrating your efforts in the same round can help.
