The three special resources
- Each special resource earns Cursed Potions while your troops gather it. Completing the gathering adds a bonus. Ancient Beast Bones and Runic Idols are then transported back to your territory and produce additional Potions automatically.
- These are the reference rates. Gathering yield and completion rewards also vary by distance from the Royal City. Check the selected gathering spot for its current values.
| Resource | Gathering Potions / second | Completion Potions | Potions / second per returned resource |
|---|---|---|---|
| Healing Kits | 40 | 300 | No returned-production bonus listed |
| Ancient Beast Bones | 80 | 1,500 | 30 |
| Runic Idols | 160 | 6,000 | 120 |
Healing Kits — basic gathering
- Find the brown bag. The listed rate is 40 Potions per second while gathering, followed by 300 Potions when gathering finishes.
- Healing Kits provide gathering income and a completion bonus; no passive bonus after return is listed.
Ancient Beast Bones — add ongoing income
- Find the horned skull. The listed gathering rate is 80 Potions per second, with a 1,500-Potion completion bonus.
- After gathering finishes and the Bone returns to your territory, each returned Bone adds 30 Potions per second automatically.
Runic Idols — highest listed yield
- These are also called Runestones; this guide uses Runic Idols for the same production resource.
- Find the green-glowing stone. The listed gathering rate is 160 Potions per second, with a 6,000-Potion completion bonus.
- Each completed and returned Idol adds 120 Potions per second automatically. These have the highest listed gathering and completion values of the three resources.
Tip: Do not waste most of a round chasing a contested Idol. An available Kit or Bone can start earning immediately.
How passive production stacks
- Passive production earns Potions without requiring a troop march to actively gather another resource. There are two sources: a sanctuary inside Cursed Land, and completed Bones or Idols returned to your territory.
- Add 40 Potions per second if your sanctuary is inside Cursed Land, 30 for each returned Bone, and 120 for each returned Idol. These production bonuses stack.
- Build returned-resource income early so it has more time to earn during the Contest. Gathering income and completion bonuses are separate from this passive total.
Tip: Defend returned resources. Losing Bones or Idols in a breach reduces the production you have built up.
Example — stacked production
Inside Cursed Land with two returned Bones and one returned Idol: 40 + (2 × 30) + 120 = 220 Potions per second. If all remain active for five minutes, that is 66,000 Potions from passive production alone. Outside Cursed Land, those returned resources alone produce 180 per second.
