Read the item before spending
- Open the gearstone's description and the relevant upgrade screen. Confirm the exact item name, its purpose and which equipment can use it.
- Check the materials required and the stats shown for the next upgrade. Different gear-related items should not be treated as interchangeable.
Choose your first target
- Start with equipment used by a hero you plan to keep in your main squad.
- Match the upgrade to the problem you are solving: damage for an underperforming damage dealer, or durability when your frontline is falling too quickly. Use the actual stat changes shown in the game to decide.
Keep a spending checklist
- Check that the equipment is worth keeping before spending limited upgrade materials on it.
- If you are saving for an event, read its live scoring rules first. Do not assume every gear-related material earns points.
- Record the item, target piece and cost before committing. Exact gearstone sources, costs and upgrade limits need to be confirmed from the current in-game screens.
